Hi, I’m Mathew.

For 28 years, I lived behind a microphone, sharing stories and building connections with millions of listeners.

As an award-winning radio host, I thought I had found my calling. Then, something changed…

In December 2021, I did what many would consider unthinkable – I walked away from a successful broadcasting career at its peak.

This decision caught the attention of Howard Stern, who remarked, “Maybe I should take a play from his playbook.” But this wasn’t just about leaving radio; it was about answering a deeper call.

You see, throughout my broadcasting career, I noticed a pattern. Whether interviewing presidents or everyday heroes, riding bulls (yes, I lasted 4.2 seconds on one named Backfire), or appearing on Netflix shows, I discovered that the most powerful moments weren’t in the grand gestures – they were in the authentic connections, the vulnerable conversations, and the transformational stories that changed how people saw themselves and their potential.

This realization led me to create Learn From People Who Lived It, a podcast and speaking series that has evolved into something far bigger than I imagined.

My approach has resonated with organizations like Kia, Hyundai, Keller Williams, and Panera Bread, but what truly drives me is seeing the spark in people’s eyes when they realize things can be different.
